The Dr. William L. "Hank" Mancini STEM Athletic Scholarship, established by PVCC Physics faculty member Dr. Casey Durandet, aims to support student-athletes pursuing degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

As a designated Hispanic-Serving Institution with 30 percent of its student body of Hispanic or Latine descent and 43 percent being first-generation students, PVCC has organized a series of events to honor the achievements, struggles, and stories of Latinos and Latinas.

PVCC was recognized for its efforts in fostering student voting during the 2022 midterms, receiving the Best in Class for Most Improved Voting Rate at a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) and the 2022 Arizona Campus Voting Challenge Most Improved Voting Rate: Community College awards.
