On March 18, 2025, the airport announced an event featuring historian Steve Schumacher as part of Phoenix History Month and the airport's 90th anniversary celebrations. The announcement stated: "In conjunction with Phoenix History Month and our 90th anniversary, we’re excited to bring Historian Steve Schumacher to the airport on Friday for a Live Q&A. We want your questions. Post your questions for Steve and we’ll be answering them on Friday."

The following day, March 19, 2025, Phoenix Sky Harbor informed travelers about new signage at the PHX Sky Train platforms designed to assist passengers in determining train destinations.
