The Phoenix Mercury has officially inaugurated their new practice facility in downtown Phoenix, a 58,000-square-foot complex valued at $100 million. The facility is equipped with world-class amenities and represents a significant investment from team owner Mat Ishbia. Among its features are two full-sized basketball courts dedicated to Diana Taurasi, complete with a unique Taurasi-inspired logo.

Phoenix Mercury to unveil Diana Taurasi courts at new practice facility
Phoenix Mercury and Phoenix Suns owner Mat Ishbia will celebrate the official grand opening of the Mercury’s new state-of-the-art, 58,000-square-foot, $100 million practice facility in downtown Phoenix. As part of the celebration, Ishbia and the Mercury will unveil two full-sized Diana Taurasi basketball courts, dedicated to the three-time WNBA champion, six-time Olympian, 11-time WNBA All-Star, and the WNBA’s all-time leading scorer. Each court will be named the Diana Taurasi Court and adorned with a one-of-a-kind Taurasi-inspired logo.

Phoenix Mercury center Brittney Griner has been named the Western Conference Player of the Week for June 10-16, the WNBA announced today. This marks Griner’s 14th career Player of the Week honor, the second most in franchise history behind Diana Taurasi (21), and her first since September 13, 2021.
