The Phoenix Mercury have announced the signing of forward Natasha Mack and guard Celeste Taylor to training camp contracts.
Natasha Mack, standing at 6-foot-3, participated in all 40 games for Phoenix last season, starting in 11 of them. She averaged 3.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game while achieving a field goal percentage of 57.3%. Notably, Mack ranked second in the league for blocks per 40 minutes with an average of 3.0 and was among seven players who recorded at least one block in 28 or more games.
Celeste Taylor, measuring at 5-foot-11, played in 15 games for Phoenix last season with four starts. Her averages included 3.5 points, 1.8 rebounds, and also contributed with assists and steals at rates of 1.8 per game each. Originally drafted as the 15th overall pick by the Indiana Fever in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Taylor appeared in five games with Indiana and two with Connecticut before joining Phoenix. In her rookie year, she ranked sixth among rookies for both blocks (1.2) and steals (1.8) per 40 minutes.
The upcoming WNBA regular season will see the Mercury facing off against the Seattle Storm on May 17 at home during their Fry’s Food Stores Home Opener.
