The Musical Instrument Museum (MIM) has unveiled a new exhibit in its Artist Gallery that highlights the early musical journey of Madonna, one of the world's most renowned superstars. The exhibit traces back to 1978 when Madonna Louise Ciccone moved to New York City with aspirations of becoming a professional dancer. Her career took a different turn when she joined the band Breakfast Club with Dan and Ed Gilroy, where she learned to play guitar and drums.

The museum has acquired several instruments from this period, providing visitors an opportunity to explore the beginnings of Madonna's illustrious career in music. A portrait of Madonna taken in Brooklyn, New York, in 1983 is also part of the display.
