The Phoenix Symphony is set to honor the legacy of Selena, known as the "Queen of Tejano Music," with a special performance featuring her iconic songs. This event will be conducted by Stuart Chafetz and performed by the Phoenix Symphony orchestra as part of the APS Phoenix Pops Series. The concerts are scheduled for April 5 and 6 at the Orpheum Theatre in Phoenix.

Vocalist Isabel Marie Sanchez will lead the tribute, performing several of Selena's well-loved hits including “Dreaming of You,” “No Me Queda Más,” and “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom.” Sanchez has gained recognition for her powerful voice and has been featured on television shows such as NBC's "La Voz Kids." She was personally invited by the Quintanilla Family to perform at significant events honoring Selena’s music.

Audience members are encouraged to enjoy pre-show activities in the theater lobby and to dress in their favorite Selena-inspired attire.

"The Music of Selena" promises an emotional homage to one of music's beloved figures. Tickets and further details can be obtained by contacting 602-495-1999 or visiting phoenixsymphony.org. The program is subject to change.
