The Phoenix Mercury has released its schedule for the 2025 WNBA regular season, which will include 44 games, an increase from the previous 40-game seasons. The team's first game will be at home on Saturday, May 17, at 7 p.m., facing off against the Seattle Storm in what is being called the Fry’s Food Stores Home Opener.

Fans can purchase tickets for this home opener now through mercury.wnba.com/single-game-tickets. Tickets for other home games will be available for purchase at a later date.

The WNBA's regular season in 2025 is set to run from May 16 to September 11. The Mercury will play eight of their first eleven games at home before embarking on a stretch where they play twelve of seventeen games on the road. This includes a significant five-game road trip against Eastern Conference teams scheduled from July 25 to August 3. Their longest series of consecutive home games will occur from August 5 to August 15.

The Commissioner’s Cup presented by Coinbase will return for its fifth year during the season. As part of this in-season tournament, each team is scheduled to compete once against each of its conference opponents between June 1 and June 17. The Mercury's Commissioner’s Cup games include matchups against Golden State Valkyries (June 5), Seattle Storm (June 7), and Dallas Wings (June 11) at home; they will face Los Angeles Sparks (June 1), Minnesota Lynx (June 3), and Las Vegas Aces (June 15) on the road. Teams with top records from each conference during these games will compete in the Commissioner’s Cup Championship on Tuesday, July 1, vying for a $500,000 prize pool.

Further details regarding the Mercury’s preseason schedule and both local and national broadcast schedules are expected to be announced later.
