Travis Vokolek has officially signed his one-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals. This move was anticipated as the team had extended a tender offer to him earlier in March. As an exclusive rights free agent, Vokolek's only option after receiving the tender was to sign and continue his tenure with the Cardinals.

The Cardinals acquired Vokolek from the Ravens' practice squad in December 2023. He made appearances in two games late that season. However, tight end health issues limited his participation to just one game last season.

Drew Petzing, the offensive coordinator for the Cardinals, oversees a young but promising tight end unit. This group includes Pro Bowler Trey McBride, rookie Tip Reiman known for his blocking abilities, and Elijah Higgins who contributed as a second receiving tight end with 20 catches for 172 yards and two touchdowns.

Vokolek is expected to contribute primarily as a blocker, similar to Reiman's role. The team also features international player Bernhard Seikovits, who is entering his fifth season with the Cardinals.
