Coming off a recent loss to the Seahawks, Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon is preparing his team for a challenging game against the Minnesota Vikings. In his post-game interview, Gannon expressed concerns about playing in Minnesota, stating, "It's in a dome. It's loud. It'll be packed out." He emphasized the lack of Cardinals fans and noted that it would be a difficult environment.

Gannon and his staff have experience coaching in Minnesota, adding credibility to their assessment of the challenges ahead. The Vikings have proven to be formidable opponents this season under coach Kevin O'Connell, boasting a 9-2 record despite initial doubts after quarterback J.J. McCarthy's injury.

Sam Darnold has excelled as quarterback in O'Connell's system, supported by players like Aaron Jones and Justin Jefferson. Defensive coordinator Nick Rallis praised Darnold's performance: "The quarterback is playing phenomenal," he said.

Rallis hopes for reinforcements with safety Jalen Thompson and rookie Darius Robinson potentially joining on Sunday. The Vikings defense stands out as well, being top-ranked against the run.

Following one of their worst offensive games this season, Cardinals running back James Conner stressed the need to establish an early running game: "Noise aside, we've got to execute."

Under defensive coordinator Brian Flores, the Vikings are skilled at disguising schemes and pressuring quarterbacks. Sunday's game will focus on fundamentals according to Gannon: "Be on the details...and make sure that we're winning the line of scrimmage."
