With the impending free agency of Kyzir White and Krys Barnes, the Arizona Cardinals have reportedly signed linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither from the Cincinnati Bengals. The two-year contract is said to be valued at up to $11 million.

The addition of Davis-Gaither, often referred to as ADG, will be crucial for the Cardinals' inside linebacker position and special teams. His role in the team remains a point of interest, especially if White leaves. While ADG has not been a full-time starter previously, he started the last six games for Cincinnati after Logan Wilson's injury. During this period, he recorded 58 tackles, potentially showcasing his abilities to fit into Nick Rallis' defensive strategy.

The signing provides flexibility for the Cardinals. ADG could replace White or Barnes and contribute significantly on special teams, which might see changes with possible departures like Dennis Gardeck or Zach Pascal. He may also serve as a temporary starter if the team drafts a new player.
