The University of Phoenix has announced the implementation of a new mobile-compatible design for its "Foundations for University Success" course, the mandatory entry-level course for most undergraduate students. This initiative follows a successful pilot program and aims to offer a more flexible learning experience for students.

Research indicates the growing importance of smartphones for students accessing educational resources. Students often use mobile devices to work on coursework during brief available moments throughout the day. Despite the convenience of mobile technology, many students have experienced frustrations with content not optimized for smaller screens. The new course design addresses these issues by reducing dependency on assignments that require downloading and uploading documents, thus enhancing mobile accessibility.
