On Saturday, March 22, former South Mountain High School standout Zay Freeney’s current collegiate team the NYU Violets lost 64-60 against the Trinity Bantams in the NCAA Division III Basketball Championship Tournament.

Hosted in Allen County War Memorial Coliseum, this was the first game against the Trinity Bantams during the championship.

Zay Freeney’s hometown is Phoenix and game position is guard.
