Trey McBride surpassed the 1,000-yard mark in receiving yards last Saturday, joining James Conner, who achieved over 1,000 rushing yards the previous week. This marks a rare occurrence for the Arizona Cardinals since their move to Arizona in 1988. Only six seasons have seen both a pass catcher and runner reach these milestones simultaneously.

The last time this feat was accomplished was in 2016 when David Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald both reached these yardage thresholds. Notably, in those years where such milestones were achieved, the Cardinals have only made the postseason once, with the 1998 team finishing at 9-7. In contrast, other seasons included records like 5-11 in 2006 and currently standing at 7-9 this season.

Marvin Harrison Jr., needing an additional 178 yards in the final game to hit the milestone, could potentially be another candidate to achieve this feat in future seasons. The achievement by McBride and Conner highlights how much the team's offense has relied on their performances throughout this season.
