Patrick Peterson is set to announce the Arizona Cardinals' picks for the second day of the NFL draft next week. Peterson, who recently retired after a career that included eight Pro Bowl selections, will announce selections No. 47 and No. 78 overall.

Over the past decade, the NFL has involved team legends in the process of announcing second-round picks. Previous Cardinals players who have taken on this role include Aeneas Williams, Adrian Wilson, Leonard Davis, Larry Centers, and Karlos Dansby. Peterson will follow in their footsteps, mere days after officially concluding his professional playing career.

Peterson's achievements include being named to the NFL's all-decade team for the 2010s. The Cardinals currently hold six draft picks. However, potential trades could alter their number of picks or their position in the second round, as noted by General Manager Monti Ossenfort.
