Paradise Valley Community College (PVCC) is offering free tax preparation services to community members in partnership with AARP and the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA). The service is available without an appointment until April 16, 2025.

For over a decade, PVCC has provided this service as part of its commitment to the community. "Our goal is to make tax filing as easy and stress-free as possible for our community members. This free service ensures that everyone has access to reliable tax assistance without financial barriers," said Lynn Clark, chair of PVCC’s Accounting Program.

The tax assistance will be available at the Union Hills Campus in Room E-144 on Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon. Services will not be available during spring break from March 10 to March 16.

Community members are encouraged to use this service before the deadline. For more information, contact AARP at www.aztax-aide.org or VITA at 602-534-8359 or www.vita.taxhelp@phoenix.gov.

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide focuses on helping low-to-moderate income individuals, especially those aged 50 and older, with IRS-certified volunteers ensuring accurate returns. VITA offers free tax help for those making $60,000 or less, persons with disabilities, and limited-English speakers.
