Elliott Brown has secured his first contract in the NFL, signing a futures deal with the Arizona Cardinals on Monday. Brown, an outside linebacker, previously played two seasons in the Canadian Football League for the Edmonton Elks. During the 2024 season, he was recognized as a West Division all-star, achieving eight sacks and 44 defensive tackles.

Before his time in the CFL, Brown spent five years at the University of Virginia. In addition to Brown, the Cardinals have also signed cornerback Ekow Boye-Doe and offensive lineman McClendon Curtis to futures contracts. These contracts will become effective when the new league year begins in March.

The Cardinals are facing a challenging offseason with limited depth at outside linebacker. Several players, including Dennis Gardeck, Jesse Luketa, Baron Browning, Julian Okwara, and Victor Dimukeje are set to enter free agency. Furthermore, BJ Ojulari is currently recovering from a knee injury.

Brown had previously participated in a tryout with the Cardinals last month.
