Kyler Murray expressed disappointment after the Arizona Cardinals' loss to the Seattle Seahawks, 30-18, at State Farm Stadium. The quarterback took responsibility for his performance, saying, "I feel like I let the team down today."
The defeat places the Cardinals (6-7) two games behind the Seahawks (8-5) in the NFC West standings. This effectively creates a three-game gap since Seattle has won both matchups this season. The Rams' victory over the Bills further complicates Arizona's position, dropping them to third place.
Coach Jonathan Gannon acknowledged recent struggles: "We haven't played good ball the last couple of weeks, and that falls on me." Despite an early lead with a 41-yard touchdown pass from Murray to Michael Wilson, two interceptions by Murray allowed Seattle to capitalize with touchdowns.
Murray finished with 25 completions on 38 attempts for 259 yards and two touchdowns. He maintained confidence in his teammates: "I'm super-confident when I go to sleep at night with the guys in this locker room."
The Cardinals had opportunities to close the gap but were unable to convert key plays. Zach Charbonnet's 51-yard touchdown run extended Seattle's lead and proved insurmountable. Charbonnet ran for 134 yards in total.
Linebacker Mack Wilson Sr. emphasized moving forward: "We just have keep working... we have to win out." Coach Gannon supported Murray amid criticism, noting his importance in keeping games meaningful late into the season.
Safety Budda Baker stood out defensively with a career-high 18 tackles. Running back James Conner contributed significantly with 122 yards of offense.
Injuries also impacted Arizona; defensive lineman Roy Lopez left due to an ankle injury, and punter Blake Gillkin was sidelined after sustaining an ankle injury during play.
