The Arizona Cardinals faced a tough loss against the Minnesota Vikings, ending with a score of 23-22 at U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday. The Cardinals held a strong lead of 19-6 late into the fourth quarter but ultimately could not maintain their advantage.

Wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., who contributed a touchdown catch for the Cardinals' largest lead, expressed his disappointment: "This one hurts for sure," he said. "That's a really good team. We just couldn't get it done."

The loss was particularly significant in the context of the NFC West standings. The Seattle Seahawks managed to secure a victory against the New York Jets, moving ahead of the Cardinals in the rankings.

Cardinals cornerback Garrett Williams noted, "It's tough knowing at this point of the season, with what you are trying to accomplish. It's frustrating not to close the deal."

Despite their efforts, including sacking Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold five times and outgaining them by 133 yards, the Cardinals were unable to stop Minnesota's offense in crucial moments. The Vikings scored two touchdowns and a field goal on their last three possessions, with running back Aaron Jones securing the winning touchdown catch.

Quarterback Kyler Murray had an opportunity to drive for a game-winning field goal but faced challenges. He commented on his performance: "We didn't make enough plays. It came back to bite us."

Penalties also played a role in undermining the Cardinals' chances. They incurred ten penalties throughout the game, which coach Jonathan Gannon acknowledged: "We shot ourselves in the foot too much," he said.

Rookie defensive lineman Darius Robinson made his debut for Arizona and expressed determination to improve: "It felt great to be out there but I didn't do enough to help the team," he stated.

Despite impressive performances from players like Trey McBride and Mack Wilson Sr., Arizona could not capitalize on their opportunities and will look to regroup as they prepare for their next game against Seattle.
