Darius Robinson, the rookie defensive lineman for the Arizona Cardinals, returned to practice on Monday. This marks his first practice since suffering a calf injury at the end of the preseason. His return took place during the Cardinals' "bonus" practice after their bye week. The team has yet to release its first injury report, which is expected on Wednesday.
Coach Jonathan Gannon did not comment on whether Robinson will play in Seattle this Sunday. He stated, "It'll be good to get him out there. Been a long time. It's been a tough road, with a tough injury. He's working his tail off. He wants to get back out there."
Gannon noted that Robinson had a productive bye week focused on rehabilitation rather than rest. "He did not have an off week," he added.
Robinson has remained on the active roster despite being inactive for games. His last appearance at practice was brief and limited to stretching exercises on October 9th before he was activated from Injured Reserve on October 28th. The injury initially occurred on August 22nd.
During the open segment of Monday's bonus practice, safety Jalen Thompson was absent while Robinson appeared agile according to reports from Darren Urban via Twitter.
