On Sunday morning, Devin Rallis gave birth to her second child. Just hours later, her husband Nick Rallis, the defensive coordinator for the Cardinals, was strategizing a dominant win against the Bears.

The timing altered Nick Rallis' usual game day routine. Typically, he visits a local coffee shop to mentally rehearse his game plan. This time, shortly after the birth of Dominick Kyzir Rallis, he turned to his wife in their hospital room and asked if they could go over the game plan. "I asked my wife, 'Can we go through this game plan now?'" Rallis recalled on Tuesday. "She said sure."

Rallis had already informed Jonathan Gannon that he would be present at State Farm Stadium for his duties as defensive coordinator. "She wants to win," Rallis said about his wife. "She said I was going to the game no matter what. Thankfully the baby was born four hours before the game."

The news of Dominick's birth and his middle name being after linebacker Kyzir White became public during the game broadcast. Rallis didn't inform his players until after the match ended.

"It did blow up a lot," Rallis mentioned with a smile when discussing how quickly word spread.

Nick Rallis expressed gratitude towards all players he's coached and honored them by naming his son after one such player. He highlighted Kyzir White as deserving due to being "the ultimate teammate, ultimate team-first guy."

Currently, Nick spends more time with White than with Dominick due to football season demands. However, Devin understands these challenges and encouraged him to coach against the Bears from the start.

"She knows I'm mentally gone for like six months," Nick stated regarding his wife's understanding nature. He added that many wives of coaches face similar sacrifices due to their spouses' commitments in sports.
