Phoenix Art Museum is set to host a series of events in November, starting with a Day of the Dead First Friday on November 1. The event will feature a community altar, live music, art programming, and specialty food and drink experiences. This initiative coincides with the museum's 65th anniversary celebration on November 20, offering free general admission and various activities.

The museum will also present several exhibitions and programs throughout the month. The photography exhibition "Laura Aguilar: Nudes in Nature" will close soon, while new special-engagement exhibitions "Charles Gaines: 1992–2023" and "Charles Gaines: Numbers and Trees (Arizona Series)" are now open to the public.

Featured free-access programs include Pay-What-You-Wish Wednesdays, supported by SRP and City of Phoenix, allowing visitors to make voluntary donations for general admission. Maricopa County Community Colleges students can enjoy free general admission with an active student ID. A military discount is available for active-duty U.S. military personnel and veterans.

Among the highlighted events is the Lenhardt Lecture featuring multimedia artist Eamon Ore-Giron on November 13. His work blends visual styles influenced by Indigenous traditions and avant-garde movements.

The museum continues its diverse offerings with PhxArt Family Funday on November 10, providing complimentary admission along with art-making workshops and performances. On November 7, an art talk focusing on Larry Bell's six-decade career will be held.

The ongoing exhibition "Charles Gaines: Numbers and Trees (Arizona Series)" showcases large-scale triptychs depicting cottonwoods photographed along Arizona's San Pedro River. Another notable exhibition is "Greatest Fits (Vol. 1): The Art of Archiving Fashion," which investigates PhxArt's fashion collection over an extended period.
