One of the strategic moves made by the team this offseason was adding Mack Wilson Sr. to their roster. His versatility as a linebacker allowed him to fill in various positions, particularly on the edge, following Dennis Gardeck's knee injury last week.
Wilson recorded a season-high 44 snaps on the edge/defensive line against Miami, according to Pro Football Focus (PFF). This continues his trend of playing primarily in that position throughout the season. Notably, he logged 33 snaps against the Chargers and 41 against the Packers. So far this season, PFF reports Wilson has accumulated 230 edge/DL snaps and 130 in the box, with an additional 54 as a slot corner.
During the game against the Dolphins, Wilson participated in 54 out of a possible 65 snaps. Kyzir White maintained his usual presence on the field for every snap alongside starting cornerbacks Starling Thomas V and rookie Max Melton—who faced challenges from Miami—and safeties Budda Baker and Jalen Thompson.
In secondary action, Garrett Williams took part in 56 plays while Rabbit Taylor-Demerson only appeared in six.
The defensive line saw Naquan Jones leave early due to a thigh injury after just 15 plays. L.J. Collier led with 39 snaps, followed closely by Khyiris Tonga with a season-high of 38, Dante Stills at 36, and Ben Stille contributing with 33.
Among outside linebackers aside from Wilson were Zaven Collins (33), Victor Dimukeje (20), Julian Okwara (16), Jesse Luketa (15), and Xavier Thomas (13) all reaching double-digit appearances. However, reserve inside linebackers Krys Barnes and Owen Pappoe played only nine and eight snaps respectively.
Running back James Conner dominated playtime with participation in 53 out of 66 offensive plays. Trey Benson managed four while Emari Demercado added eight more to his tally. Wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. played almost every down with Michael Wilson close behind despite briefly leaving due to an injury before returning to make crucial contributions including blocking for Kyler Murray's key third-down run.
Trey McBride marked National Tight Ends Day by playing extensively across 64 snaps while Tip Reiman participated in nearly half as many at twenty-nine and Elijah Higgins added nineteen more.
On offensive line duties were Trystan Colon taking forty reps alongside Isaiah Adams who contributed twenty-six as they shared guard responsibilities.
