Chairman of Strong Communities Action Merissa Hamilton said the state of the economy under Vice President Kamala Harris "steals the joy of most Americans."

"Dear Marxist from Minnesota," Hamilton wrote in a post on X. "Going to the grocery store under Kamalanomics steals the joy of most Americans. Your policies will make costs on everything explode even further! We desperately need MAGAnomics back in charge! Sincerely, The Wallets of Every Voter."

The cost of cereal in Arizona has increased by 303% since 2020, according to an analysis of Fry’s Food Stores' grocery ads by Grand Canyon Times.

A 12 oz. box of Post® cereal at the supermarket chain had a regular price of  $3.99 as of June 20, 2024, which is $3.00 more than the $0.99 for the same size box of cereal on February 2, 2020.

That marks a total increase of 303% for cereal since 2020 at Fry’s, outpacing the supposed 2.7% inflation rate for food for the last year, as reported by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS)

Hamilton is co-founder and CEO of Strong Communities Action and EZAZ.org, which she established in 2020. According to the Strong Communities Action website, this civic action organization strives to "ensure every voice that wants to be heard by their local leaders is educated, equipped, and empowered to be successful in driving their personal policy goals."

She previously ran for Phoenix mayor in 2020 and serves as Member at Large of the Republican Party for Congressional District 1.
