Brittney Griner and Jonquel Jones to headline AT&T WNBA All-Star events

Phoenix Mercury center and 10-time WNBA All-Star Brittney Griner, along with 2021 Kia WNBA MVP Jonquel Jones of the New York Liberty, will headline the events on Friday, July 19, as part of AT&T WNBA All-Star 2024. The competitions will be broadcast live on ESPN from Footprint Center in Phoenix at 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET.

Griner will make her debut in the Kia WNBA Skills Challenge, competing against guards Sophie Cunningham (Phoenix Mercury), Allisha Gray (Atlanta Dream), Marina Mabrey (Connecticut Sun), and Erica Wheeler (Indiana Fever). The challenge involves an obstacle course testing dribbling, passing, and shooting skills.

Jones returns to the WNBA STARRY® 3-Point Contest for her third appearance. She will compete against Stefanie Dolson (Washington Mystics), Kayla McBride (Minnesota Lynx), Allisha Gray, and Marina Mabrey.

The event will also feature a debut 3×3 basketball exhibition between the USA Basketball 3×3 Women’s National Team and the USA Basketball 3×3 U23 National Team.
