In August, the first bell rang throughout the district, merging with eager voices from students, teachers, and families. Now that we have reached the last bell, voices are equally enthusiastic as everyone prepares for the next adventure.

To the graduating class of 2024, congratulations on reaching this remarkable milestone. You have accomplished much throughout your years in PVSchools, and we look forward to seeing what the next chapter holds for you. As you prepare to flip your tassel and toss your mortarboard, we hope that your time in PV was truly a journey of excellence.

Congratulations also to our other students, especially our 8th graders now heading to high school and our new middle schoolers stepping up from 6th grade. We will be excited to see you all in August and hope your summer break offers you time to relax and get ready for the new year. Thank you to our parents and families for supporting your students and their teachers during the year. These partnerships provide a tremendous foundation to help your students learn and grow.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to our teachers, principals, and staff for all you have done to make this year successful for our students and families. Your dedication, passion, and love of learning are overflowing, and we hope the summer allows you to recharge.

Finally, our deepest gratitude goes to Dr. Troy Bales, whose retirement marks the end of more than 30 years in public education. As he closes this chapter on an amazing career and looks forward to an endless summer, know that as a teacher, principal, and superintendent, he made a profound difference in the lives of many students and families over the years.

As that final bell sounds once more: on behalf of the Governing Board—congratulations! And in the words of Alice Cooper: "School’s out for summer!"

On behalf of the Governing Board,

Anne Greenberg

President
