PVSchools rang in the Chinese New Year with the Dual Language Immersion (DLI) students from Whispering Wind Academy and Sunrise Middle School and were joined by Horizon Huskies who take part in the Mandarin program at their high school.

The students gathered at Paradise Valley High School to commemorate the Year of the Dragon by presenting traditional songs, dance, and poetry to honor the culture's beauty and richness. The festivities culminated with a traditional dragon dance, symbolizing wisdom, power, and wealth, believed to bring good luck.

"This important tradition typically spans two weeks — from the first new moon to the next full moon, and is a cherished celebration around the world," shared an unidentified source.

The event provided PVSchools students with a hands-on experience of Chinese culture, complementing their structured and immersive Mandarin program.

"To learn how your child can join one of our two DLI Mandarin programs, visit the Mandarin Immersion page," encouraged the school.
