Shadow Mountain High School is gearing up for an exciting event as they prepare to host the Ron Smith Classic Track & Field Invitational for the sixth consecutive year. A representative from the school expressed their enthusiasm, stating, "We are beyond thrilled to announce that Shadow Mountain has been hosting the Ron Smith Classic Track & Field Invitational for the past six years, and this year is no exception!"
The Ron Smith Classic has grown to become a significant event in the community, with Shadow Mountain High School being commended for their inclusive approach. The representative further added, "The Ron Smith Classic has become a significant event, and we are proud to say that Shadow Mountain has embraced the PV community with open arms."
One of the highlights of the event is the variety of activities available for participants of all ages. The representative highlighted, "We are especially excited about the Community Mile Run, open to EVERYONE, and the Lollipop Sprint Race for children 12 and under."
Families and community members are encouraged to save the date for this fun-filled day. "Mark your calendars for March 30, 2024; the community events will start at 2:00 p.m.," the representative announced. In addition to the track and field events, attendees can look forward to engaging in a silent auction, enjoying food from various food trucks, participating in prize giveaways, and even taking advantage of a discounted shoe sale by Road Runner Sports.
The representative expressed their hopes for a strong community turnout, stating, "We truly hope to see as many families as possible at this incredible event. All five high schools will participate in the track meet, and we would be thrilled to have the entire #PVSchools community join the fun."
