The talented theatre and dance students of the North Valley Arts Academies (NVAA) recently had an incredible opportunity to show off their skills in a professional rock concert called "A Musical Tribute to Women Who Rock." The concert was a collaboration with the Paradise Valley Community College (PVCC) Faculty Rock Band, and needless to say, the students rocked it.
During the opening reception, NVAA and NVAA Coordinator Leanne Slater were honored to have PVCC Interim President Dr. Jana Schwartz and Fine and Performing Arts Division Chair Dr. Chris Scinto speak about the collaboration and the exciting opportunities it creates for NVAA students.
Dr. Schwartz expressed, "We are thrilled to collaborate with NVAA and provide our students with such a unique and valuable experience. This partnership opens doors for shared performances, Dual Enrollment programs, and a new Scholarship Pathway Fund."
NVAA was featured and highlighted throughout the concert and even included multiple times in the event program. The proceeds from the event will go towards the scholarship fund of NVAA/PVCC, showcasing NVAA's commitment to the community and the importance of arts education.
In the words of Dr. Scinto, "The show truly highlights the dedication and talent of NVAA students. We are proud to support their growth and provide them with practical exposure to the arts."
Congratulations were extended to the students for their fantastic performances and to NVAA and PVCC for a successful collaboration. The event not only showcased the students' talents but also emphasized the power of partnerships in fostering valuable connections within the community.
The collaboration between NVAA and PVCC serves as a testament to the commitment to excellence in arts education and the promotion of student success.
