Air passengers looking for a direct flight from Phoenix to Charleston, South Carolina, and Provo, Utah, are in luck.

Breeze Airways said on Wednesday that it will begin operations at Phoenix Sky Harbor on Nov. 2, according to a news release from the city.

“I welcome Breeze Airways and its innovative approach to air travel as we increase travel options and passenger volume at Sky Harbor International Airport," Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego said in the release. “We look forward to its success and growth of destinations served from Phoenix."

The airline will operate out of Terminal 3 on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

“The expansion of Breeze Airways service in Sky Harbor is proof that there is continued demand for travel to and from Phoenix," City Councilman Sal DiCiccio, District 6. “As the fourth new airline to begin operations out of Sky Harbor just this year, I am hopeful for the ongoing growth of our airport, benefiting our community members and the local economy."

The addition of Cottonwood Heights, Utah-based Breeze Airways brings the total airlines operating out of Phoenix Sky Harbor to 23. The airlines provide service to 140 locations with the airport bringing four new airlines on board within the past year. Moreover, it has reestablished roughly all of its pre-pandemic international travel destinations.

“We’re excited to announce the first nonstop to connect these two fantastic destinations,” Breeze COO Michael Wuerger said in a KTAR news report.
