Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) emphasized the importance of fighting for election integrity to avoid a repeat of the contentious 2020 presidential election.

"America's elections are the bedrock of our constitutional republic; these issues are of supreme importance," Biggs tweeted as he shared an article about the Justice Department not opposing Arizona election reform before the Supreme Court hears cases.

This move by the Justice Department surprised many as the Supreme Court is about to tackle the controversial Arizona law banning the practice of ballot harvesting.

The state of Arizona first banned ballot harvesting in 2016 and since then 19 other states followed suit with their own bans on ballot harvesting as compared to 27 states, including the District of Columbia that allows ballot harvesting.

Writing an opinion piece for Fox News, Biggs further accused Democrats of wanting to make "America a one-party nation" by trying to squelch opposition and dissent.

"They want to make elections irrelevant. They prefer that all power and control reside in the Democrat party and in Washington D.C. The leftists, who are authoritarians with a DNA that leans toward tyranny, believe that loading up the nation with unskilled workers from underdeveloped nations will provide Democrats with voters," Biggs wrote.
