After Arizona lawyer Dan Schultz gave his “Precinct Committeeman Tutorial” on Steve Bannon’s podcast this month, conservatives have started looking to become one or apply for other local positions.
Schultz’s website has recorded over 80,000 visits in the past few days and emails keep coming in from people who are interested to know more about the movement.
“Conservatives, if you really want to do something, find your local county committee, get in touch with them,” Schultz said. “Find out if there’s a meeting and go to the meeting, be nice, be polite, introduce yourself, and say ‘I want to become a member of this committee, is there a vacancy in my precinct.’”
“Get in touch with me wherever you live, I’ll help you,” Schultz added.
He said that there are approximately 200,000 vacancies out of the 400,000 Republican Party positions across the country.
“The precinct committeemen are the party,” Schultz told Bannon. “The precinct committeemen elect everybody in the Party, all the way up to the RNC.”
Conservatives aim to be more involved in the party and “demand that their party and its candidates faithfully represent their values,” The Epoch Times stated.
