On Tuesday, March 18, former Hillcrest Prep standout Ziare Wells’ current collegiate team the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears won 76-74 against the UNC Pembroke Braves in the NCAA Division II Basketball Championship Tournament.

Hosted in Frank G. Lumpkin Jr. Center, this was the first game against the UNC Pembroke Braves during the championship.

Ziare Wells’ hometown is Queens.
