There has been a recent development at the Dignity Health Training Center with the signing of wide receiver Simi Fehoko to a one-year contract. The addition of Fehoko is not primarily aimed at transforming the wide receiver lineup, as his previous season's performance included six catches for 106 yards over eight games, marking career highs before he sustained an elbow injury.

Fehoko is expected to contribute significantly to special teams, an aspect that often receives less attention when assembling the Cardinals' roster for the upcoming 2025 season. Currently, wide receiver Zach Pascal remains unsigned despite his substantial role in special teams and as a fourth or fifth receiver. Similarly, linebackers Dennis Gardeck and Krys Barnes are yet to secure contracts.

The Cardinals have also signed linebackers Akeem Davis-Gaither and Mykal Walker, who may bolster special teams depending on their defensive assignments. As new players join the team, the transition game—a term used by Ron Wolfley—will be an essential factor in their strategy.
