Ruben Gallego, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Arizona's 3rd district, has recently shared his thoughts on various issues through a series of tweets. Gallego, who has been serving in Congress since 2015 after replacing Ed Pastor, expressed concerns and highlighted significant contributions within his community.
On February 11, 2025, Gallego criticized former President Donald Trump for not addressing the issue of egg prices and shortages. He stated, "Donald Trump is doing NOTHING to fix egg prices and shortages, so I’m assuming he doesn’t know where to start… I’ll offer some help."
Later that day, Gallego praised Cloves C. Campbell for his work in Black media and leadership. He acknowledged Campbell's role as the publisher of the AZ Informant and his efforts to uplift Black Arizonans. Gallego remarked, ".@ClovesCCampbell is a trailblazer in Black media and leadership. As the publisher of the AZ Informant, he uplifts Black Arizonans and ensures their achievements get the recognition they deserve. Our state is better because of his work."
On February 12, 2025, Gallego highlighted the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's impact on American consumers by returning funds from banks and credit card companies caught in unethical practices. He noted that "The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has paid billions to hardworking Americans—returning far more than it costs to run. It forces banks and credit card companies to pay you when they’re caught double-charging overdraft fees or stealing extra interest on your payments."
