PVSchools is set to host a unique event that combines two of its major district events into one day, titled Sights & Sounds & STEAMposium. This event aims to highlight the talents and creativity of students in both the arts and sciences.
The event will take place on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Shadow Mountain High School located at 2902 E. Shea Blvd., Phoenix, AZ 85028. It will feature a variety of activities including ensemble performances, student artwork displays, a science and engineering fair project showcase, an awards ceremony, and more.
The schedule for the day is as follows: Sights & Sounds activities are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., while STEAMposium events will occur from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Various locations within the school grounds will host different activities such as band and strings performances in the Activity Center, choir performances in the Performing Arts Center along with an Empty Bowls Fundraiser, impressive student artwork displays in Jerry Connor Gym, and more.
Attendees can look forward to engaging with exhibits like Universe on Wheels Planetarium at Matador Arena and a business and industry expo in the Courtyard alongside snacks, face painting, and community partnership booths.
The full schedule for Sights & Sounds includes numerous choir performances starting with North Ranch Choir at 8:30 a.m. through Liberty Choir at 3:20 p.m., as well as band and strings performances beginning with Desert Trails and Copper Canyon Strings at 9:00 a.m., ending with Boulder Creek Strings at 2:00 p.m.
