Dr. Karen Hudson has been honored with the Gifted Education Teacher of the Year award by The Arizona Association for Gifted and Talented (AAGT). The accolade was presented during the AAGT Annual Conference on February 4, 2025, which focused on "Bright Minds, Bold Ideas: Where Curiosity and Creativity Meet."

The award highlights educators who excel in gifted education by addressing the unique needs of gifted learners. It also acknowledges those who make a positive impact on students and families while demonstrating a commitment to differentiation, enrichment, and equitable practices.

PVSchools expressed their pride in Dr. Hudson's achievement. "On behalf of PVSchools, the Gifted Department, and Mountain Trail Middle School, we extend our appreciation to Karen and congratulate her on this great achievement," stated a representative from PVSchools.
