Grand Canyon University will split its athletic squad for the first time this season, participating in two separate events. The team will compete at the Ron Mann Classic in Flagstaff, Arizona, and the New Mexico Team Open in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

A contingent of 37 athletes specializing in sprints, hurdles, and mid-distance events will head to the Albuquerque Convention Center for a two-day meet on Friday and Saturday. Among them are junior mid-distance runner Germain Lemaitre and senior jumps athlete Taryn Burkett. Both athletes recently set school records in Albuquerque and received Western Athletic Conference (WAC) weekly awards.

GCU's men's squads for the 200-meter run, ranked second nationally, and the 60-meter hurdles, ranked fourth nationally, will also compete in Albuquerque.

In addition to those competing in Albuquerque, Grand Canyon University will send 40 competitors from its throwers and jumpers groups to Flagstaff. Sophomore Nicole Prall, who leads the WAC pole vault with a mark of 3.85 meters, is among those traveling to Flagstaff.

Live results are available for both meets. In Flagstaff, live results can be accessed online. For Albuquerque's event, live video streaming is available with payment while live results can be accessed for free.
