Eleven educators in PVSchools have achieved or maintained National Board Certification this year. This certification is recognized as a significant achievement in the field of education, reflecting an educator's dedication and skill. Four educators have maintained their certification, demonstrating their ongoing commitment to excellence.

Seven other educators have newly achieved their National Board Certification. This accomplishment represents not only a personal milestone but also contributes to continuous improvement within PVSchools.

The district has a history of excellence, being home to Arizona's first-ever National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT). Since then, 55 more educators have joined this esteemed group.

The achievements of these educators are being celebrated during National Board Celebration Week from January 27-31. The district encourages the community to recognize their contributions to enhancing education quality.

Brian Cunningham from Desert Shadows Elementary and Margo Mercey from Paradise Valley High are among those who maintained their certification. Hannah Carnahan in Information Technology and Katie Hansen at North Canyon High also retained theirs.

Newly certified teachers include Rachael Wyatt at Sonoran Sky Elementary and Misty Hoyt at Desert Trails Elementary. Sarah Duval and Jenna Sekelsky from Echo Mountain Intermediate, Kera Diller at North Canyon High, Anna Militello at Copper Canyon Elementary, and Patience Sharp at Pinnacle High also achieved certification.
