Jackson Barton, who has experienced a challenging season, will conclude it on Injured Reserve. The tackle spent most of the year on the practice squad, with appearances in key games against the Lions and Panthers. Unfortunately, an ankle injury during practice led to his placement on IR just before the Cardinals' final game against the 49ers.

Fifth-round rookie Christian Jones is expected to replace Barton in the starting lineup. Jones made his NFL debut last week against the Rams, playing six snaps in Barton's position. Veteran safety Andre Chachere was promoted from the practice squad to fill Barton's roster spot. Offensive line support will come from Luke Tenuta, one of two practice-squad elevations for this game.

Additionally, running back Tony Jones will join Michael Carter and DeeJay Dallas as part of the Cardinals' backfield rotation due to injuries sidelining James Conner, Trey Benson, and Emari Demercado.

In related news, rookie safety Rabbit Taylor-Demerson received a $5,592 fine for an illegal blindside block against the Rams. Meanwhile, Rams defensive back Kam Kurl was fined $22,511 for unnecessary roughness involving a tackle on running back Michael Carter. Kurl was not penalized during the game for this incident.
