Abrazo Buckeye Emergency Center has been recognized by the Emergency Nurses Association as a 2024 Lantern Award recipient. This accolade is awarded to only 94 emergency departments across the United States that meet specific criteria.
The Lantern Award designation highlights exceptional and innovative performance in areas such as leadership, practice, education, advocacy, and research at the Buckeye Emergency Center. Located in southwest Arizona, Abrazo Buckeye Emergency Center is a 14-bed freestanding facility serving nearly 30,000 patients annually. The center employs evidence-based practices empowering nurses to contribute to decision-making processes and lead quality improvement initiatives. Notable achievements include improved door-to-CT times for stroke patients, reduced falls, and enhanced medication safety administration.
