The Arizona Cardinals are preparing to face the New England Patriots at State Farm Stadium this Sunday. The Cardinals, favored by six points, will need to address their recent defensive challenges after allowing 176 rushing yards against the Seahawks. Head coach Jonathan Gannon emphasized the need for improvement in their run defense, stating, "We've got to make sure that everyone is running ... because we gave up way too many yards on the ground." Defensive coordinator Nick Rallis added, "I think we've had better games with our mode of play. The motor needs to pick up at times."

Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez has been a standout in his second season following an injury-shortened rookie year. Drafted in the first round by Bill Belichick, Gonzalez has made significant contributions with turnovers and playing nearly all defensive snaps. He will be tested as he lines up against Marvin Harrison Jr.

Meanwhile, the Cardinals are set to face Drake Maye of the Titans, one of the top three picks in the 2024 NFL Draft. The team previously defeated Caleb Williams and now aims for another victory by containing Maye's mobility. Nick Rallis described Maye as "dangerous with his legs," highlighting his ability to scramble effectively.

As both teams prepare for Sunday's game, these key elements will play a crucial role in determining the outcome.
