Ruben Gallego, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona's 3rd district since 2015, has recently shared several statements on social media addressing various issues of national and international significance.

On December 6, 2024, Gallego emphasized the importance of financial security for wildland firefighters in Arizona. He stated, "Wildland firefighters put their lives on the line to protect Arizonans - they deserve to know their pay won’t be cut." Gallego expressed his commitment to passing the Wildland Firefighters Paycheck Protection Act and preventing future pay cliffs.

On December 8, 2024, Gallego commented on the political situation in Syria following significant developments. He remarked that "The violent reign of Bashar al-Assad has come to an end." While acknowledging uncertainty about Syria's future path, he stressed that it should respect democratic rule and human rights.
