In his first career start, Rabbit Taylor-Demerson anticipated that Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers would try to exploit his inexperience. As the Jets approached the Arizona 3-yard line during their first drive of the second half, Taylor-Demerson was prepared.

"I figured he was going to pick on me, so I was on high alert," said Taylor-Demerson. The rookie safety successfully deflected a third-down pass in the end zone. On the subsequent play, outside linebacker Xavier Thomas executed a fourth-down strip sack, with linebacker Kyzir White recovering the ball.

This defensive stand marked the closest attempt by the Jets to score a touchdown in what ended as a 31-6 victory for the Cardinals.

"It's a crazy feeling," commented Thomas. "You grow up watching guys like that. (Rodgers) is a Hall of Famer and a legend in the NFL. It's a surreal feeling. Now it's just keeping it consistent."

The Cardinals' defense has shown remarkable consistency recently, not allowing any touchdowns in their last three home games at State Farm Stadium. In previous matches, they limited opponents like the Chargers and Bears to field goals only.

The last instance when Cardinals' defense prevented touchdowns over three consecutive home games dates back to 1926.

"Damn," remarked linebacker Mack Wilson Sr., reflecting on this statistic. "It shows the resilience that we have as a team."

With four consecutive wins under their belt, including Sunday's game against the Jets where they held them to two field goals in the first half, the Cardinals lead NFC West heading into their bye week.

"It's hard to count out a team like us because I feel like we're always in the fight with the dudes we got on this team," added Wilson.

Both Thomas and fellow linebacker Jesse Luketa achieved their first career sacks against Rodgers after similar successes against other teams recently.

"You taste a little bit of success, and you just want to keep climbing and keep getting more and it makes you more hungry," said Thomas about his performance growth.

Taylor-Demerson expressed joy over his debut start: "I couldn't stop smiling in my locker room when I found out this morning." With safety Jalen Thompson's potential return post-bye due to an ankle injury recovery, Taylor-Demerson might see reduced playing time but remains optimistic about contributing effectively whenever needed.

"Get used to it, man. We've got something cooking here," he concluded regarding his role within this cohesive defensive unit.
