One of the reasons the Cardinals signed Sean Murphy-Bunting during free agency was due to his football character and passion for the game. This passion was evident in Green Bay when he secured a crucial interception, though it later turned to frustration after he incurred two defensive holding penalties and allowed a touchdown to Romeo Doubs on one drive.

"SMB, he wants to be great, so he's mad at himself when he doesn't make the plays that he expects himself to make," said defensive coordinator Nick Rallis. "I just went over there (on the sidelines) and reminded him that, 'Hey, dude, you're one of our best players. You're a leader. Reset yourself and you're good to go.'"

Murphy-Bunting's interception marked his first of the season. He understands that his position is often scrutinized since each matchup can influence the game's outcome.

"It's definitely reassuring, but I don't want to be in that position," Murphy-Bunting said. "I just need to stay out of that, stand on my technique, and just control what I can, and keep playing ball."

Coach Jonathan Gannon emphasized a next-play mentality as they prepare for their upcoming primetime game against the Chargers on 'Monday Night Football.' Gannon recalled coaching a player who had four pass interference penalties in one game but maintained confidence despite the rough performance.

"Don't let one play beat you twice," Gannon advised. "He's resilient. He's focused. He's in the right head space."

Murphy-Bunting attributes his resilience to his routine of reviewing film, correcting mistakes, and moving forward.

"That's literally how my process is each and every week," Murphy-Bunting explained. "Playing corner in this league... You're going to have your high days and you're going to have your low days, but I've got to stay even-keeled and in the middle all the time."

As Murphy-Bunting enters another game day on Monday night against an NFL opponent, he remains committed despite past challenges.

"I just got to keep playing ball," Murphy-Bunting stated. "I've been in the league for a while now... It's something that fans might look at as a big deal, but I don't. It's football; (expletive) happens. I'll get back to doing what I do."
