The Arizona Cardinals faced a challenging game against the Green Bay Packers, resulting in a 34-13 loss at Lambeau Field. Quarterback Kyler Murray expressed his disappointment over what he described as "bonehead play after bonehead play." The Cardinals, who had been the least penalized team in the league, committed 13 penalties for 100 yards during the game.

Murray acknowledged his role in the miscommunication that ended their streak of opening games with a touchdown score. Despite efforts to prevent big plays from Packers' quarterback Jordan Love, the Cardinals defense faltered. Love managed four touchdown passes and led seven players to contribute to a total of 179 rushing yards.

Defensive lineman L.J. Collier voiced frustration, saying, "We have to execute. We have to put this (expletive) in motion." Head coach Jonathan Gannon admitted, "We just didn't compete smart enough today," noting their failure to affect Love's performance effectively.

While Sean Murphy-Bunting did intercept one of Love's passes, it only resulted in a field goal for the Cardinals. Linebacker Mack Wilson Sr. highlighted the need for improvement if they hope to become a playoff team.

Running back James Conner was limited to 24 yards on seven carries before being sidelined in the fourth quarter as the game slipped away from them. Murray completed 22-of-32 passes for 214 yards and one touchdown but struggled with turnovers and limited rushing yardage.

The game's turning point came when punter Blake Gillkin's kick was mishandled due to slippery conditions, leading to an additional Packers touchdown drive that set them up for victory.

Tight end Trey McBride stood out with eight catches for 96 yards following Marvin Harrison Jr.'s exit due to injury. Harrison left with a concussion check after colliding with a defender's thigh and did not return.

Injuries further compounded issues for the Cardinals, who will face an extensive injury report ahead of their next game against the Chargers. Players such as Bilal Nichols, Evan Brown, Sean Murphy-Bunting, and Kyzir White were among those affected by injuries during this matchup.
