Emily Kircher-Morris returns for gifted speaker series on executive functioning

Guest speaker Emily Kircher-Morris is set to return for the Gifted Speaker Series with a presentation on "Improving Executive Functioning in Gifted/2E Learners." The event is scheduled for Tuesday, October 15, at the Paradise Valley District Training Center from 6 to 7 p.m.

The venue for the presentation is located at 15002 N. 32nd Street, Phoenix, AZ 85032. The focus will be on addressing challenges faced by students in areas such as time management, task initiation, and activity transitions. Executive functioning deficits can significantly impact a student's academic and social success.

Emily Kircher-Morris will guide attendees through understanding executive functioning and its effects on neurodivergent learners. She aims to provide insights into supporting the development of these skills in students.

Kircher-Morris, holding M.A., M.Ed., LPC qualifications, draws inspiration from her own experiences as a neurodivergent individual. She is committed to destigmatizing neurodiversity and supporting individuals of all ages. Her career began in education before transitioning to private practice near St. Louis, Missouri, where she specializes as a licensed professional counselor for neurodivergent children and adults.

She also hosts The Neurodiversity Podcast which addresses psychological, educational, and social needs of neurodivergent people. Kircher-Morris speaks at various conferences globally and offers professional development sessions for educators, mental health professionals, and parents.
