The Arizona Cardinals face a significant setback as they lose guard Will Hernandez for the remainder of the season due to a knee injury. This development was confirmed by head coach Jonathan Gannon following Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Hernandez, who has been instrumental in the team's offensive strategy, suffered the injury when his leg was rolled up from behind by 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa. The incident occurred during a tackle attempt on running back James Conner, resulting in Bosa inadvertently slamming into Hernandez's left leg.

Coach Gannon expressed his disappointment over losing Hernandez: "Will was playing really well," he said. "He was playing really good ball for us. He was an integral part of our toughness and our attitude." Despite this setback, Gannon remains optimistic about Hernandez's recovery and return.

The team now faces the challenge of filling the void left by Hernandez's absence. With starting right tackle Jonah Williams already sidelined with a knee injury since the first game of the season, Kelvin Beachum has stepped in to replace him. For Hernandez's position, veteran Trystan Colon emerged as a potential replacement during the 49ers game. Additionally, rookie Isaiah Adams could be considered once he recovers from a thumb injury that kept him out on Sunday.

Gannon assured fans that they would find "the right lineup" and continue their efforts on the field: "The guys we've got, we feel good about. We'll get the right lineup in there and go to work."
