U.S. Sen. and Republican Vice President nominee J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) told Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) that he had a "tough job" in defending Vice President Kamala Harris' (D) economic policies from the Biden-Harris administration. Vance made the remarks during the Vice Presidential debate held on Oct. 1.
"You've got a tough job here," Vance said to Walz during the debate. "You've got to pretend that Donald Trump didn't deliver rising take-home pay, which of course he did. You've got to pretend that Donald Trump didn't deliver lower inflation, which of course he did."
"And then you've got to defend Kamala Harris' atrocious economic record, which has made gas, groceries, and housing unaffordable for American citizens," Vance said.
The Vice Presidential debate was held at the CBS Broadcast Center in New York City, and was broadcasted by CBS, who moderated the debate.
The Arizona Republican Party said Vance was the "clear winner" of the debate, according to a Facebook post from the organization. "He delivered a vision that will restore American greatness. Meanwhile, Tim Walz couldn't defend the radical, failed record of Kamala Harris," the post said.
