The Cardinals began the process of reducing their roster to 53 players on Monday, releasing six players following the preseason finale. The current roster now stands at 85.

Among those remaining is tight end Bernhard Seikovits, who will receive an international player exemption and join the practice squad as the 17th player if he clears waivers and does not make the final roster.

The released players are:

- WR Daylen Baldwin

- OLB Chris Garrett

- CB Delonte Hood

- S Verone McKinley III

- CB Michael Ojemudia

- OL Austen Pleasants

Wide receiver Zay Jones, who is suspended for the first five games of the season, will not occupy a roster spot during his suspension. The team also has the option to place players on injured reserve (IR), which would free up additional spots.

Players with less than four accrued seasons, including all six released on Monday, must go through waivers. They can be claimed by other teams but must be placed on that team's initial 53-man roster. If they clear waivers, the Cardinals have the option to re-sign them to their practice squad.
