Banner Thunderbird announces plans for renovating pediatrics emergency room

Banner Thunderbird Medical Center today announced plans to renovate its pediatrics emergency room as part of the hospital's dedication to providing exceptional medical services to the community. This renovation project is one of many initiatives the hospital is undertaking this year to enhance patient care for all.

"At Banner Thunderbird, we are continuously striving to improve our facilities and services to better serve our community," said Banner Thunderbird Chief Executive Officer Debbie Flores. "The renovation of our pediatrics emergency room is a testament to our commitment to providing top-tier healthcare to patients of all ages."

Dr. Aubri Carman, pediatrics director at Banner Thunderbird, added, "The renovation of the pediatric emergency room will allow us to offer specialized care to our young patients with state-of-the-art equipment and a welcoming space designed specifically for children. We are dedicated to ensuring that every child who walks through our door receives the highest quality of medical attention."

The renovation of the pediatrics emergency room at Banner Thunderbird is expected to commence in early 2025.

Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, Arizona, specializes in heart care, surgical services, obstetrics and gynecology, emergency and trauma care, behavioral health, cancer care, rehabilitation, and pediatrics, including the West Valley’s only pediatric intensive care unit, pediatric Emergency department and Level III neonatal intensive care unit.
